  After my appointment I walked out of Body Logic laughing (at how simple the solution to my recovery was) and at a pain level that was almost insignificant compared to the pain I was in when I arrived. I have a recovery plan that is made for me and for the first time in three years I actually have hope for recovery.

  Firstly, this is probably going to sound like a paid for recommendation with how overly enthusiastic I feel about these guys but I can assure you that this review is genuine. After finding Body Logic by chance through Google and reading a few of the journal papers written by Professor Peter O'Sullivan on lower back pain, I thought surely if they've got a guy like this working there they would surely be able to help. I sent the team an SOS via their online contact form and they got back to me asap with an appointment that was weeks - not months - away. This shocked me as I thought they would have a pretty big waiting list.

  I was seen by Pain Specialists, Orthopaedic Surgeons and other experts in my condition. For 27 years I have been asking why I was having so much pain in my lower back (which is not symptomatic of my condition). After seeing Prof. O'Sullivan and with ongoing support and treatments with JP, I have finally been given the answer and it took less than one meeting and for the staff alike to be attentive and considerate of my pain and see me as a person in need of help; rather than a long-term pain sufferer who needs to get on with her life. With this understanding I am beginning a new phase in my life, I am forever encouraged and supported (even when I take a step backwards) and would recommend Body Logic to anyone who wants to be acknowledged and assisted with any treatment/condition.

  In the past I have had medical "professionals" either have a "not my problem" attitude or have just shrugged me off with a photocopy of some generic exercises and and a "see you next week" aka - I can't be bothered working out a real rehabilitation plan but I want your money.

  On my appointment day, after driving 3.5 hours, I arrived at the clinic barely able to walk - I was in so much pain. After Michael Sharp and another lovely Physio (so sorry I missed her name) took the time to meticulously listen to my history, at times in tears - which they very kindly gave my tissues and allowed me to compose myself before continuing - they then got down to sorting out a plan of action. They took my situation very seriously, showing genuine compassion for the fact that I have been living in debilitating pain for the last three years.

  Told to return (standard I know) but with the premium health fund, I still only receive a small amount back, so this makes this treatment not an option. For perspective, Medicare offer the mighty $53 rebate for up to 5 consultations in a year.

  Highly recommended, after loosing all feeling in my left arm and hand rory fixed this in a very short time. Can't thank him enough and the friendly staff there are to be commended also.

  I would love to see a study on physiotherapy price rises since private health insurance. It seems out of pocket expenses were less - without insurance.

  Nearly a month on from my appointment, I rarely experience any pain and have finally been able to gently return to the gym without fear of waking up the next day not able to move. I'm not saying I'm miraculously cured, there will always be some things I can't do without causing myself a lot of pain (bye bye high heels), but for the most part I can live a normal life again!

  The entire team at Body Logic Physiotherapy are nothing short of excellent, always polite and professional. Todd at the Bethesda clinic (now at North Beach) was pivotal in my successful rehabilitation after a major injury (broken femur) earlier this year. Extremely knowledgable, highly proficient and professional, I came out of every appointment in less discomfort and one step closer to being fully recovered. He did extra research in his own time to ensure I had the most efficient and effective evidence based rehabilitation plan. He always kept a positive attitude toward reaching recovery goals which motivated me to stay positive and complete prescribed exercises which were taught to me in Body Logic's own gym. I have now returned to normal activities ahead of time and I am pleased to say that this would not be the case without Todd's excellent help, which I am sure is replicated throughout the entire team at Body Logic. I have already recommended Body Logic Physiotherapy to many friends and family and will continue to do so without hesitation.
